CAMILLE SALVADOR | ARTIST

I am New York City based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, photography and digital art.

My work begins with neurology. I have synesthesia, a condition in which the senses cross. I perceive people and places as color. Everything I create is a direct translation of that perception, not interpretation, not imagination.

Three bodies of work. One vision.

The Chroma Series captures New York through a synesthetic lens, black and white photography interrupted by the colors that actually exist there.

The Return to Basics series strips everything down to primary colors and organic shapes, no noise, no rules, just instinct on paper.

The Synesthesia Works are direct translations of perception, portraits and pieces built from what is literally seen in a person or place.
